Volunteer Roles
Club nights cannot run without adult volunteers. It is expected that each family volunteers at least once during each term of the season.
TIME KEEPER x 6
Time each 25, 50 and 100m race using the provided timing handset. Timing involves pressing the button when the swimmer finishes. Races cannot start until there are 6 time-keepers.
If you are only available to time for a portion of the evening, we will find another volunteer to take over.
MARSHAL
Ensure swimmers are marshalled into their correct event and lane number. Using the meet entry sheet, the marshal calls out each name and directs them to their spot on the metal seats. Each metal bench is assigned a colour and numbers 1-6 have been placed on them to facilitate easy marshalling.
BBQ ATTENDANT
Cooking the BBQ (sausages, burgers and chicken kebabs).
BBQ SERVER and LOLLY SHACK SERVER
Two volunteers to take orders and payments, sell the lollies, snacks and drinks, and serve the hot food.
